Year 6 SPaG worksheets
Revise the building blocks, learn the new Year 6 terms, then practise for the SATs. 20 blocks and 84 topics. Worksheets are being written in teaching order.
SATs practice
How the tests shaped this order. In the nine tests from 2016 to 2025, the 50 marks of Paper 1 went 30% to punctuation, 26% to word classes, 13% to verbs, tenses and consistency, 10% to combining words, phrases and clauses, 10% to vocabulary, 6% to types of sentence and 4% to standard English and formality. Paper 2 is a separate 20-word spelling test. Weeks in each term follow that weighting, and topics the tests never ask about (bullet points, ellipsis) come after the test.
Blocks marked “coming soon” are being written. Each term mixes grammar, punctuation and spelling; open “Topics” under a term to see what each block covers.
